Stockport Urban Room

The Stockport Urban Room is an exciting new space dedicated to shaping the future of our town through open conversation, interactive activities, and community involvement. Located in the Merseyway Shopping Centre next to the O2 shop, the Urban Room will focus on the Stockport Design Code.

Through engaging displays and exhibitions, Q&A sessions, and interactive activities, visitors will be able to see and comment on draft proposals, share their own visions for Stockport’s future, and contribute to a design code that reflects local priorities.

Try out a Lego-based planning exercise – “Exploring densities through Lego”. Drop-in to take part in a hands-on activity using Lego bricks to look at how different house types and densities fit together.

This is a unique opportunity for everyone in Stockport to get involved in planning decisions that directly impact their everyday lives. Your input can help shape a more vibrant, inclusive, and well-designed town. The Urban Room will be open 10am – 4.30pm from Tuesday 6th May – Friday 9th May offering a space to learn, ask questions, and influence how Stockport evolves.
